Each wind chime is precision-tuned by hand. The tube lengths, diameters, and wall thicknesses are all meticulously calculated to produce specific musical notes — much like the keys on a piano. The result is a harmonious, melodic sound rather than random noise. Different series are tuned to different scales and sound profiles, from bright and cheerful to deeply sonorous and meditative.

Deep tone describes a lower-pitched sound. Tube length, diameter, wall thickness, tuning, and the striker all contribute to a chime’s sound; overall hanging length alone does not tell you its pitch or loudness. That depends on the model, wind, distance, surrounding buildings, and your neighbors’ preferences. A low tone can still carry, and a recording cannot guarantee the volume in your yard. Choose a partly sheltered spot away from shared windows and property boundaries, and bring the chime inside when needed. Check any community rules before hanging a chime on a shared balcony or in a closely spaced neighborhood.

Our chimes are designed for outdoor use with weather-resistant materials. Weather resistance does not mean the finish and cord cannot age or suffer damage. Wipe your chime with a soft damp cloth and mild soap, then let it dry. Check the cord, suspension point, and hanging hardware periodically. Keep enough clearance for the tubes and windsail to move without hitting nearby objects, and bring the chime indoors during severe weather. Yes. Orders of $100 or more after discounts and before tax qualify for free standard shipping within the contiguous United States. Shipping charges for orders under $100 are calculated and displayed at checkout.

Most standard orders leave our workshop within 1–2 business days. Orders with custom engraving may require up to 5 business days. After shipment, carrier transit typically takes an additional 1–5 business days. During occasional factory breaks or high-demand periods, any additional lead times will be noted on the website.

Request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. Eligible items must be unused and in their original condition and packaging. Customers pay return shipping; there is no restocking fee. Completed engraving fees are generally non-refundable, but engraving does not automatically make the entire item non-returnable. Read the full return policy for exclusions and instructions before sending an item back.

Our best-in-class Lifetime Warranty ensures that if your chime or any part of it is found to be dysfunctional — or becomes dysfunctional — we will repair or replace the flawed parts free of charge for as long as you own your chime. This warranty even covers the string. It does not cover normal wear and tear of the paint finish. Chimes must be returned for repair to process a warranty claim.
