A place, a maker, a craft

Who makes our wind chimes?

Lambright Country Chimes makes the chimes; Perfect Pitch Chimes helps you find the right one. That distinction matters when you want to know where a product comes from, compare models or arrange a repair.

The chimes are handcrafted in Shipshewana, Indiana, an Amish community where the Lambright business is based. Our collection brings together different tube shapes, finishes, sizes and musical voices from that maker.

What to look for when buying American-made chimes

  • A named maker and location. Look beyond a flag graphic.
  • Specific construction details. Know what the tubes, cord and supporting parts are made from.
  • A recording of the model. A description cannot tell you which sound you will enjoy.
  • A clear service policy. Read what repair support includes and how to use it.

Built for life outside—with care

What goes into a Lambright wind chime?

Powder-coated aluminum tubes

The sounding tubes are aluminum with a powder-coated finish. Their dimensions and tuning help give each model its voice. Listen to the recording to hear the result.

UV-treated polyester cord

The suspension uses cord suited to outdoor exposure. Check it periodically, particularly where it meets a support or attachment point.

Poly-lumber components

Recycled poly-lumber is used in supporting components. The top, striker and windsail work with the tubes and cord as one moving assembly.

These details are described in our Lambright product and care FAQ. Bring chimes indoors during severe winds, ice storms and other extreme weather. “Made for outdoors” still leaves room for sensible care.

A repair policy worth understanding

The lifetime warranty covers flawed or dysfunctional parts, including string, for as long as you own the chime. Normal paint wear is excluded, and the chime must be returned for free repairs. Contact the maker for instructions and shipping arrangements before sending it in or taking it apart.

Start with what matters to you

Which USA-made wind chime is right for you?

There is no single best wind chime for every porch or person. Start with the sound, measure the hanging space, then consider the finish and any engraving. The ranges below are overall hanging lengths, not individual tube lengths or a ranking of pitch.

Give each note a moment

Hear the difference between two models

Try these two Ultimate Series recordings at the same volume. Listen past the first strike to the notes that linger. Headphones or a speaker can reveal lower notes more clearly than a phone's built-in speaker; recordings are a comparison aid, not a measurement of outdoor loudness.

Three checks before you choose

01 · Sound

Shortlist two recordings

Choose the sounds you would enjoy while reading, gardening or sitting outside. “Largest” does not automatically mean “best for you.”

02 · Space

Measure the full drop

Check the overall hanging length, clearance around the tubes and sail, and the load your hanging point can support. Use our placement guide.

03 · Meaning

Make it personal

Review engraving options on the product page after choosing the sound and size. A name, date or short message can connect the chime to a person or occasion.

Questions about our American-made wind chimes

Where are these wind chimes made?

The Lambright Country Chimes sold by Perfect Pitch Chimes are handcrafted in Shipshewana, Indiana, USA. Perfect Pitch Chimes is the retailer; Lambright is the maker.

Can I hear a chime before ordering?

Yes. Use the recordings above, the product pages or the Wind Chime Sound Library to compare available models. Check the model name on each player so you are comparing the chime you intend to order.

Are all USA-made wind chimes deep sounding?

No. Country of manufacture does not determine pitch. Tube dimensions, material, tuning and construction shape the sound. Our deep-tone collection gathers large and resonant options with recordings to help you compare.

Are these suitable for year-round outdoor use?

Lambright uses materials intended for outdoor exposure, but chimes still benefit from care. Check cord and hardware regularly and bring the chime inside during extreme weather, including severe winds and ice storms.

What happens if a string breaks?
